Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes your clinic different from other telehealth weight loss programs?
Many primary care doctors don’t have the time to handle prior authorizations. That’s where we come in. We help you access brand-name GLP-1 medications by providing prior authorization support. If you need a more personalized option, we also work with our partner pharmacy, Red Rock, to facilitate access to compounded GLP-1 medications tailored to your needs. Supporting your health is our top priority.
  • How do I prepare for my free consultation?
To make the most of your consultation, please have the following information ready: Current weight: Knowing your most recent weight helps us assess your progress and set realistic goals. Medical history: Be prepared to share details about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, and past treatments. Family medical history: Understanding your family's health background allows us to assess potential risk factors. History of previous weight loss attempts: Please provide details about any weight loss programs, diets, medications, or other methods you’ve tried in the past. Include dates, duration, and any weight changes during those programs. This information is helpful for securing prior authorization for brand-name medications. By coming prepared with this information, we can create a personalized plan that best supports your health and weight loss journey.
  • Is this only for doctors & nurses?
Not entirely. While our clinic was designed with healthcare professionals in mind, we evaluate eligibility on a case-by-case basis. We welcome: ✔ Physicians ✔ Nurses (RNs, NPs, CRNAs, etc.) ✔ Physician Assistants ✔ Clinical Pharmacists ✔ Other clinicians with an understanding of medical instructions, dosing, and the use of syringes
  • Do you accept insurance?
Brand-name medications may be covered by your insurance.Consultation fees are direct payments (we do not bill insurance).Superbills for HSA/FSA reimbursement are available upon request.
  • Can you be my primary care doctor?
No, we do not replace your primary care provider. However, we can collaborate with your primary care provider by providing documentation of your treatment and ordering a limited set of labs related to metabolic health.
  • What are GLP-1 and GIP medications?
GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) Receptor Agonists help regulate blood sugar, slow digestion, and reduce appetite.GIP (Glucose-Dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide) Medications work similarly to GLP-1s but also enhance insulin release and may further improve weight loss and metabolic health. Some medications combine GLP-1 & GIP for enhanced effects. Wegovy, Ozempic & Semaglutide are GLP-1 medications. Zepbound, Mounjaro & Tirzepatide are combination medications with both GLP-1 & GIP.
  • Do I have to take these medications for the rest of my life?
No. We do not believe in lifelong dependence on medication unless medically necessary. We help patients transition off the medication when it is both medically and personally appropriate, using a stepwise approach that supports long-term weight maintenance.
  • What about diet and exercise?
The commonly reported 15%-25% weight loss results for Wegovy & Zepbound are based on: ✔ Medication use alongside lifestyle changes ✔ 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week ✔ Appropriate caloric intake focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods. We conduct a detailed nutrition intake and create a stepwise nutritional plan to support your success.
